Hello:
I'm in a quest for an HDTV Device. So far I've found the following.
Samsung 32" LCD model: LN32R71BA More expensive
and
Samsung 32" LCD model: LN32R71BX Least Expensive
and
Samsung 42" PLASMA model: PL42D5S middle priced.
Do you know the diffence between these three models?
Which one do you recommend?
Regarding LCD, you may get as technical as you like. i.e what matrix type does it uses, how do I find out which matrix type it is, etc, etc.
They all have HDMI/VGA/YPBr/ Video & Multimedia
5.1/Stereo/Digital Audio
Both LCDs claim a contrast Ratio of 5000:1 .
Many thanks for your input
edit:
These are the links to what is on Samsung's site:
LCD:

I suspect this is not the actual model(contrast ratio, 5000:1 vs 4000:1), but it is whats closer. I'm positive about the model (LN32R71BA/LN3271BXAP) can be found in mexico since the sticker in the actual Display of the LN32R71BA says Made in Mexico.
PLASMA:

2nd Edit:
I've also found this one:
LG RM-32LZ50
RM32LZ50

Finally:
Since I'm pretty Sure the Samsung uses a PVA matrix:
How much does have the PVA improved over S-IPS in total response times (from gray to gray). Samsung claims a contrast ratio of 5000:1 and a black to white response time of 8 ms, versus the 500:1 CR and 12 ms of the LG model. just look here for reference on PVA response type depending of the levels of gray:

and here for an S-IPS, its actually better than a TN:
