I've used Samsung 193T for over a year but only used Hyundai L90D+ for 2 weeks. Sold the L90D+ cos there were noticable difference in in color quality but the main reason was cos 193T is much easier on eyes.

I was thinking of getting Dell 1905FP or 2005FP as a replacment for L90D+. was leaning towards 1905FP cos it has PVA panel used in Samsung 193P which would be easier on eyes then IPS on 2005FP but now i'm thinking there are still good chance the color quality (and also harder on eyes) could be worse than 193T. I had to get eyes checked after using L90D+ for 5 days so i think it might be worth paying little extra to get Samsung 193P/910T over Dell 1905FP? Anyone got recommendation for a LCD thats really easy on eyes? (for my budget)

What happened to your 193T? Why are you replacing it with another 19" LCD? If it's because of gaming, then you should probably wait for new 8ms PVA panels if you're concerned about image quality and want a faster screen.

I don't think the price difference of the samsung is worth it, unless its actually using a faster PVA panel than the dell, but last I heard, they use exactly the same panel, so their performance is very close to equal.

I ordered the Samsung 910T today so hopefully i'll get it on monday. I have two PCs so i need two monitors. I still have 193T, L90D+ was a replacement for CRT but i was very happy to sell it. I know L90D+ has same panel as Samsung 913N but even according to Tomshardware, colors are much better on Samsung 913N cos even tho they have same panel, they have different signal processors. Even on Anandtech review (Dell 1905FP vs Samsung 193P), image quality are very similar but Samsung one is still better. I think thats why it was very noticable for me cos 193T has PVA, samsung parts but L90D+ has TN, non-samsung parts.

I did heaps homework b4 getting L90D+ and even read heaps of end user comments but i'm shock to say there were many ppl claiming color was vibrant and good even compared to the CRT they upgraded from. WTF?? maybe they all wear glasses..

I don't have much money (otherwise i'll be getting 30"+), i bought all cheap parts for pc n o/ced it [H].. but i don't want to save bit on monitor and spend money on glasses year later. Also Samsung monitors have wider viewing angel with same panel, and has 0 dead pixel policy on 19" but Dell you need min 3, and Hyundai you need 5.

You could wait for the new smaller Samsungs with overdrive PVA tech (like the 2405FPW) to be introduced. One of the reasons I hopped onto buying one of the 2405's is because of this very reason. Samsung make some of the best monitors.

Hmm, I don't remember tomshardware saying the 913N has much better colors than the L90D+. Also, I don't think it's possible for Samsung to have better better viewing angles than the others with the same panel. Their viewing angles are better but only on paper. You've made a good choice. The 910T should be about the same as your 193T. Great for everything but gaming.

I'm currently using 17" Samsung 172X (TN, 12ms) on DVI and I can tell you that colors are much better than L90D+, they don't look washed, darker colors look much darker than L90D+ and no backlight leaking problem. It's almost as good as PVA but I still prefer PVA cos I find them much easier on eyes. Personally i would rather have 173P PVA over 172X TN. It would be nice if there were 19-20" PVA, 8ms, 1600x1200.. n if i could afford it.

I just noticed from 910T reviews that it has thicker than 193T and also heavyer for that reason.. I didn't order Dell 1905FP cos i thought it might be worse than 193T in terms of color/image qualty. But if T910 is worse than 193T i'll be upset..

I know viewsonic is coming out with a 19 inch lcd .. under 500 .. close to $400online in MAY. 499 from viewsonic store.. only great thing was going to be a 4 ms response time(gray to gray) 5ms the rest.(1280 x 1024 native res.) ....ill post specs when they come out.. but how great are samsung .. which store would carry them so i can see it up in person .. diff people.. with diff tastes...
