i'm not even sure if this is possible(well, possible and worth it). i've come across a new samsund d415 that is broken, but the display works. i have an antec sonata and it'd be cool to mount the screen in the swinging door on the front. what exactly would be involved in taking that screen and having it mounted there and running. do i need a controller card or will the one that is in the phone(if it can be separated from the rest of the circutry) be sufficient if i can get it to work with the comp?
i'm not terribly experienced in modding, though i've been reading [H] for years...will this work at all?
 
Not to let you down and rain on your parade, but I would be willing to bet it would cost more than the phone, the case, and all of the components inside the case to have the LCD run off USB, COM, or LPT. Even if it was fairly inexpensive, you'd have to write your own drivers, and your own software to interface with it.
