hope that helps, but there's adjustments for a reason.......every monitor is different so i doubt those will give you perfect geometry. good luck though

Like Goat said, they change from monitor to monitor:

At the res of 1280x1024 I like:
50
39
81
75
44
47
33
48
52
46
41

I have a question...... when you play games on small res under 1280x1024 do you see these lines on the sides going going from top to bottom?? some thing like this
{{ }} .. and smaller lines going from side to side ........ oh yea and on the side of the monitor does the picture looks worst then in teh middle??? im just asking bc i dont know if my monitor is bad

I just bought the monitor and it's the best monitor that I've ever had. Given my experiences I would highly recomend it.

Others, however, seem to have reported that the outer edges are grainy as well as various other problems with the monitor.

I think that you might as well buy the monitor, check it out, and if you have problems then return it (just make sure that whatever place you buy it from has a good return policy). I would say that there's a good chance that you won't have any problems with it.

i know this is an old thread so sorry for pulling it from the depths hehe :)

but i thought id mention that i'm also having the same problem with my 997DF as qouted above...depending on what colors are on the screen, i can see wavy lines coming from the sides of my monitor towards the middle...it really pisses me off considering ive only had it for about 4 or 5 months. i'm not sure if its my monitor, or my settings...but no matter how much i tweak the monitor, the lines remain...

any clue, guys?

Just don't use any of the "weird" resolutions (ie 1280x960, 1152x864, etc..). As posted above, I have been using this monitor for a year now and, in my experience, it is a very good monitor.

At 1280x960 I get the same wavy effect that you're describing (I think its technical term is "moire"). It's most noticeable when looking at solid colors (ie the solid blue color during the windows login screen). At 1024x768, 1280x1024, 1600x1200, however, this problem is not present (which may be evident by the fact that the recomended resolution for this monitor is 1280x1024 and not 1280x960).
