Hay anyone got any openions on the Samsung 997 19" CRT. Thanks. I'm looking to get it since it's a good price and the specs at lest meet what I'm looking for. Thanks.

I had 3 of them and had alot of problems with all

Here are a few of my posts

http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?t=306509

http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?t=307479

Now some people say this, is normal. If it is that this monitor is great

I have talked to people who have and do not have the same problem I had

I called samsung, they said this shouldent happen so I took there word for it

So dont buy at circuit city only best buy.

and if ya have any other questions ask

I have one and it is pretty decent for the price.
The problem he is describing doesn't seem to be the fault of the monitor since all of my monitors do that. My Sony, Viewsonic, Samsung, Compaq, and Mag.

Everyone thinks it's an LCD because of the design of the front, bezel is the same size all around.

I got a question for you vinny77. What are your Brightness, Contrast, Kelvien temps looking at?

brightness was at 0

contrast was at about 45

abd I have no idea about Kelvien temps

but read thoses posts above

Try setting your contrast to 90 and your brightness to 50. Most monitors look best in this setup.
