My Samsung 980 Pro sequential read/write is only around 3000mb. Isn't that really slow for the drive?

Motherboard: Gigabyte Aorus Elite
Processor: AMD 5800X

Shouldn't these be enough for the harddrive to do its thing? Or is there a setting?
 
I assume you have the latest bios or you wouldn't be able to boot with the 5800x (jelly) Have you check temps I've heard the can thermally throttle. Also if you are using in for your OS then try benching it in safe mode. If still and issues check for Samsung firmware update and make sure trim is enabled. If all else fails try secure erase and format with the system you intend to use it with and make sure it's a GPT partition. GL
