Samsung 931c Help

[Bench]

I just got the Samsung 931c, which was used as the WCG's official monitor so I would expect it to be fine for games. But when I started CS it had a LOT of ghosting, and a purple line would appear at the edges. It's hooked up to my computer with a DVI cable and I had it at it's native resolution. I searched around the forums and people seem to be happy with it so is mine defective or what?

My specs are:
Intel P4 2.8
6800 512MB
2GB DDR400
