Ok so I bought this samsung 931bf from best buy before I knew anything about tn pva and ips panels, and oh god do I hate this thing.

It's advertised to have a 2ms response time and a 2000:1 contrast ratio. The 2ms response time I think may be true since TN panels are supposed to be faster.

But the colors look disgusting; there's no mids. For example when watching movies with a wide range of colors, it can't display "mid colors." For example just dark purple and light purple, no in-between purple. This ends up making color squares like some bad 80's music video where there's a smooth transition of colors. Does that little bit of missing color from 16.7 to 16.2 really make that much of a difference??

The contrast ratio (2000:1), I'm not sure is true either, because from what I've read, that's impossible for a TN panel, unless you all know of a loophole that I've missed.

The REAL sticker is the pixel pitch of .294 which I didn't think would make a difference, but oh GOD it does. HORRIBLY. As I'm typing this right now the text looks like tetris blocks on an old gameboy.

So after much research, the only option I have is to get a 1000$ s-ips panel monitor with a .25 dot pitch, or a crt. So I'm thinking of giving the finger to LCD in general and getting this

.20 PIXEL PITCH CRT!

DEATH TO LCD!! WHO'SE WITH ME!?

or at least has some input/ranting/advice?

Also if anyone knows of a plasma 23" or below with a dot pitch below .25 and under 1000$ I would be forever grateful if u told me xD
