since the release of the 840, i've been looking at local retailers for price drops on the 830.
i already own a 830 256GB drive and looking to pickup another 256GB drive just to drop my steam folder on (rather than use 'steam tool/mlink' to move to platter disk).
the prices have certainly dropped and even the 830 512GB is now cheaper per GB than the 256GB model. i gotta wonder if the 830 isn't a all round better purchase than the 840 despite the slight performance increase. the older drive has NAND that'll survive more write/read cycles and according to this thread;

what do you guys think, is the 830 (any size) a better purchase than the new 840?
