I see they are 269.99 at my best buy, and if i can get circuit city to price match, i will get the $80 in mail in rebates. So price comes down to 189.99 before taxes and after mail in rebates. Now my question, is this a good lcd monitor, it will be replacing my 19 inch crt, will going down those 2 inches be a big deal, and will it look worse than my crt?? Here are the stats linky I just want to know if it will be a good gaming lcd (FPS games) and if anyone has any expereince with it. It will be used on my system below. But i do not want to suck if i upgrade my pc (faster proc, pci-express etc) basically will ti work excellent on the latest PCs (do not want it to be a a limiting factor). So is this worth getting?? Thanks for any info.

I am a poor college student and will only buy this if it is worth the cash. Just like the idea that it will free up a lot of desk space, but i need it to preform also.
 
It has DVI, it has a 600:1 contrast ratio, supports 1280x1024. For that price you can't go wrong. I know what it's like to be in college and have more month at the end of the money instead of more money at the end of the month. ;) See if you can get them to let you see it running. Look for ghosting. There are 2 ways to measure response time, 1. gray to gray and 2. rise and fall (black white black). It doesn't say which is which when they describe the response of 8ms. Go to hardocp.com if possible and scroll down and see if you notice text ghosting and try running a video or game see if it has ghosting there as well. If satisfied purchase away.
 
The Samsung 730B is the best gaming LCD I've ever used. The difference between it and a 16ms LCD is very noticeable. My only complaint about the LCD is that mine has had some issues with "Image persistance" (images getting burned onto the screen, but then they go away after awhile). Mine might just be defective, but I would be sure to use a screensaver.
