how are samsung drives for reliability? I never had one always had western digital, seagate and maxtors.
 
I've got a Samsung SP2504C, have had it for about four months now and it has given me no problems as a mass storage device with a lot of large file transfers. It is consistently 5-10 *C cooler than my Hitachi 160 gig (right now 26 vs 31 *C). Even though the Hitachi is the system drive and thus should be warmer, the Samsung hardly heats up even during extended continuous transfers. It's also pretty quiet.
