Hi There, Well in my last ditch efforts of doing my own searching on the net for half a day I've decided to try and get some help here. There are a few related articles, but I cant find any the same. So here goes.

I've got the Silver Samsung 244T, had it about 6 -7 Months now. I just upgraded my PC a few days ago (AMD 3800+ Dual Core, ASUS SLI- Premo Mobo, XFX7900GT Extreme edition etc etc) Fresh copy of XP Pro with SP2 and running all latest drivers.

I want to run this screen at 1920 x 1200 in DVI-D, however the maximum resolution displayed is only ever 1280 x 1024!. Im just running the standard DVI-D cable that came with the screen.

Now to let you know what I have tried: (This was suggested my Mike another forum member, however it still did not work.)

1. Uninstall all video drivers in add/remove programs. reboot. cancel all attempts by Windows to install generic drivers for the card.
2. delete all monitors in device manager. reboot. cancel all attempts to install generic drivers for the monitor.
3. Install latest Forceware from nVidia for your 7900GT. reboot.
4. Install Samsung monitor driver (yes...after you install your vid drivers and reboot...not before).
5. Re-install DirectX if possible.
6. Make sure to set the video driver to Centered Output in the nVidia config panel.
7. Then set your res to 1920x1200x32 @ 60Hz
8. Also, make sure you are using DVI-D input 1 instead of input 2 (it should say I and II on the card).

I've called Samsung Tech Support in Australia... they are simply useless.

Im running Nvidia Forceware 99.33. The Nview display mode properties see's the Syncmaster screen no worries..

When I change the resolution above the 1280 x 1024 the screen comes back so I have to move the mouse around it to see the whole screen (i.e the image is not appearing within the bezel but outside it as well)

So apart from sending this screen back to Samsung, can anyone else provide me with some advice? Do you think its Monitor, software or Vid Card?

Thanks in advance!

Not really, i used to have the same "problem" with my ATi x1900xtx card, also with a second output on the T.V.

- Have you tried every tab in the Nvied display settings?
- Have you tried earlier nvidia display drivers instead of the latest?
- Have you set your screen on 60Hz instead of 75Hz?

I think it's a driver issue of your videocard, you should try some others like the omega drivers..

Ive tried a few different ones. running 84.66 Nvidia ones atm. havent bothered with Omega.

Tried to switch to the other DVI port on your card, then reinstall the drivers?
