My story begins with buying a Samsung 225 Widescreen with an ATI card about a year and a half ago. The monitor was beautiful but after 14 days, a pixel line appeared on the monitor. I restarted it but the pixel line was there even during windows start-up and it looked permanent. So I returned it. 2 months later, I moved to Chicago and gotten a new ATI card (1900XT). I really liked the look of the 22 inch Samsung and so I bought it again thinking that it was just bad luck the first time. Sure enough, 10 days after using this 225W, a pixel line appeared vertically on the monitor again, even with the new ATI card. Needless to say the monitor was returned and I crossed my fingers and got a Samsung 204B(non widescreen) and everything was fine. I had also bumped into a customer that was returning his Samsung 225W and he had told me that he had the same permanent pixel line defect!!! INCREDIBLE.

I have not been on this forum long enough but is this very common amongst the Samsung 225W models? I avoided the Samsung 226W because of this like a plague. Or is it the ATI card???? I just bought an NEC 24 Widescreen and I pray that it does not happen!
