seemingly at random, my 213t is goign to sleep or something, then screen goes compelatly black for a moment, then returns to normal.

it happens at random, on the desktop, in games, watchign movies, whatever. wither the display has been on for only a few minutes, or several hours. and its also inconsistant. the display ahs behave proporly for the past week. nand just flashed off a few minutes ago.

ive had it "blink"(for lack of a beter word) several tiems in an hour, or once, and then its fine.

any ideas?

First thing I would look at is your cables, make sure they are tight. Wiggle them to make sure you don't have an intermitant connection as well. Pull and reseat your video card too, they can come loose.

Same check with your power plug. Also, try it on someone else's computer see what happens.

Let us know what you find ;)

i reconnected all cables last night, and tried the power cord ina different spot on my power bar, reseated video card, and rechecked power management(all power management is tirned off. windows isnt tryying to deactivate monitor on me or anything, theres no screen saver set.

monitor just blinked on me again a monet ago. :|

meby ill try it on the VGA cable next(currenty on DVI)...

If it does the same thing on the vga cable, time to call Samsung. Could be an issue with the back light, loose plug inside etc. They are good about RMA on defects.

Luck

actually, i bought the extended warranty form futureshop(think canadian best buy), aminly due tot he fact it covers dead pixels(one dead pixel, i get new monitor) i can just take it to them and get a new one if the probems continue.
