Just got mine today from Amazon and I am not pleased. It arrived in a dishevelled bag (box seemd okay but for two layers of tape - been opened) and covered in scuff marks and finger prints on the base and screen. Maybe a refurb or a used item. Also, in spite of Samsung's manual saying 8-bit and its site, it is 6bit. I can see vertical banding. Trying a gradient in Photoshop I can see the vertical pattern across the screen - it looks terrible. I am using an ATi 1900xtx. The viewing angle is not very good either. Good things are no bad pixels and the wide screen which I like. I think I will try something better which means something more costly.
