Since my store ran out of the gateway monitors, im gonna get the 20" samsung 204B and was wondering, is dual link dvi something i should be concerned about? does my video card even support it? (BFG 6800GT) and if so should i get a monster DVI cable? thanks for the help
 
ok i bought the monitor today and its a huge difference from my old hp 17in crt lol....nice and bright, NFS most wanted looked nice in it...only thing is...when im on my desktop and i have a window or something near the center right part, theres like lines that are blueish that fade in and out...kinda like noise lines...its hard to explain and it wont capture on a print screen...but is that a problem? how could i fix it? it only happens when im on my desktop...in internet screen its fine and games is fine...hrmmm
 
*edit* i think i narrowed it down to either a problem with the res. im runnin (1600x1200 which is the max the monitor can run) because i ran at my normal 1280x960 res that i used to run on my crt and the lines went away...or the brightness...because when i played dod just now, i saw the lines when the brighter textures showed and they went away on the darker textures...

*edit #2* on some webpages i see these noise lines...
 
Bumped cause I'm returning my 204t for this one tomorow. Fry's has it for 529-30MIR! I sit in front of my mon, so I'd rather have the response over the wider viewing angle.
 
Yes! Now this panel's EXACTLY like my 712n. Fast and the text is much clearer than the 204t!
