My brother just recently built a new system and I was helping him set it up. As he has the first LCD I have used, I was curious about one problem I noticed. About an inch left of the middle, there is a vertical yellow line going from the top to the bottom of the monitor. It is not a deep solid yellow, but rather a 2-3 pixel semi-transparent yellow line. I have played with the Samsung software that came with it, but so far no luck trying to resolve this issue. Any ideas on how to get rid of this?

Thanks!

Sounds like a hardware issue. You should return the monitor.

[Edit] Have you tried both analog and digital connections?

I've seen a blue line like that on a laptop. It's a screen defect. It's toast. RMA time. You could try a different screen just to be thorough, but I'll give you 10:1 it's the display.

Thanks, my brother has already gotten RMA information and a new monitor is on it's way.
