Samsung 173P+ Found a DARK PIXEL :(

I am so upset right now...

I just opened my new Samsung 173P+
and i saw this piece of paper in the box that said ZERO BRIGHT DOT WARRANTY!
So i was confident and happy that everything would be ok...

so i hook it up, and find out that yes there is a dead/stuck pixel...
I did a fullscreen (red/blue/green/white/black) color test, and found out that there is infact ONE dark pixel which under the colors of GREEN and WHITE doesnt work...

its located at the center, but is alittle towards the upper left hand side.

When i checked the warranty more carefully... i saw this:
172x,173p, 173p+ (Bright Dot = 0) (Dark Dot = 5)
193p, 193p+ (Bright Dot = 0) (Dark Dot = 7)

So that means for they wont replace dark dots, and upto 5 dark pixels on my lcd is normal... but i am so upset that i cant even think clearly... what u guys think?

It's one pixel...it's fine. My L90D+ has one pixel stuck a grey color. That's one of the joys of having an lcd...a few wayward pixels.

Hah, I just found a bright pixel on my 173P+, I'll change it tomorrow.

I just downloaded the psp stuck pixel video fix, and hope that it works...

The thing is that my uncle brought back the 173P+ with him while he was on vacation... and over here and most other parts of the world they dont have the 173P+ (if u go to samsung.com u wont find it on their monitors list)...

So i cant just go and have them replace it for me (as much as i really want to)

I'm not trying to sound rude, but you really can't complain about one pixel, man. Most return policies are like at least 4 pixels. And plus it's dark, not bright. Look around here...you'll find lots of people with more than 1 messed up pixel.

The thing is my last LCD Samsung 172T was dead pixel free... and when u pay so much for a great lcd, u'd hope that all pixels work properly

Well to be honest i was too depressed to really test it out...
cause the first thing i check were the pixels...

hopefully tomorrow i will provide u guys with a nice short review...

but thus far i can say im impressed.... i just changed from the Samsung 172T (25ms)
i played NFSU2 and no ghosting whatsoever.... but a nice ghosting test i like to do that is available on all pc's.... is go to run and type DXDIAG, its DirectX's program, go under Display and click on Test 3D rendering or something like that (forgot the name)...

it'll show u a spinning cube... look at the corners of the box and u would notice ghosting....
i did this on a CRT once (last year)... also saw ghosting on the CRT...

Let's say you paid $300 for it. Pro-rating by working pixels, the screen is still worth $299.9997711, which we'd have to round up to $300.
