I have a 7900GT from XFX (non-VIVO) and looking to go SLI, but I think I'd like the VIVO version. Will this cause any issues in SLI? I know that I can do mixed vendor, but is mixed features alright.
 
I'd be willing to bet that they'd go SLI no problem. As long as the GPU is the same.
 
I know that the cores will be the same, but will the VIVO chip cause any problems?
 
No problems. VIVO is capable of being supported in all cards, it just needs a chip to handle it, and that chip is totally seperate from the GPU. You wouldn't be able to use vivo if you didn't have the proper WMD drivers installed also.

But I would be curious if you used the VIVO card in the secondary graphic slot and would still be able to use it when in SLI mode.
 
That's what I really want to know, your question is much better. I know I really won't have problems in SLI mode, but will I also be able to use theVIVO functionality.
 
I haven't seen a VIVO version of 79xx yet, is there one that I might have missed?
