I've never used Samba before, but I seem to have made some progress with it in Suse. I'm trying to get full access to my F@H directory to monitor work progress via FahMon. I've added the FAH directory as an available share. I finally found that I had to add the 'guest ok' option with a value of Yes to its properties to allow me to actually access the directory via my network. I can now open the directory, but when I try opening the work folder or the client.cfg file, I get 'access denied' messages. The wierd thing is that I can open both .txt files and MyFolding.html, but I still have no access to the work folder or client.cfg file. Of course since I can't access these, that means FahMon can't access them either and gives me an error. How in the world do I go about giving myself full access to the folder and all contents?

Change the permissions with

sudo chmod +r client.cfg
sudo chmod +r -R work/
