Right now I'm running a stock HSF combo and a Hyper 212 Plus should arrive in a couple of days.
Now my question is, is it worth the time and money to revive this setup to cool down an unlocked X3 720 @ 3.4ghz - 3.8ghz or will the Hyper 212 Plus be enough?

ya have it.. why not try and see what it can do before putting the hyper 212 plus on..

Get a new waterblock and that setup should be pretty nice for what your cooling.

I would just return the 212 and grab an Enzotech Sapphire off of Newegg for a couple more bucks.

Does the TDX fit on AM3 boards? I would prefer to just buy the mounting brackets and lap it than buy a whole new block.

I would still need a radbox, tubing, 2 120mm fans.
