Salmosa Middle-Click

At first I thought my old Salmosa's middle-click was just broken, but then I discovered that their software just deactivates it. I know that the click is registering because I can set the middle mouse click to a left click, and it works perfectly. However, I can't get it to be utilized as a regular middle mouse click would; I've tried all the options.

OS: Windows 7 x64
Driver/Software: Razer v1.01

The closest I can get is doing Windows Button 4 and Windows Button 5, which conflict with one of the main reasons I want to get it fixed: having Google Chrome open a URL in a new tab with middle click. Windows Button 4 and Windows Button 5 are set to forward and back in Chrome apparently.

So, any thoughts on how to get it to work correctly?
