Saitek: 90$+18 buttons with 27 buttons +macro
Logitech: 50$ + a lot of useful buttons and other useless ones.

What should I get? I really find the saitek leet haxor and sweet, plus the 9 buttons thingy really is useful. Never saw a bad review on it. On the other side the logitech is less pricey and I found people saying the Shift button bugs and etc....

Your opinion?

Both are good keyboards. logitech = cheaper = teh win

Try going down to bestbuy and trying them both out.

I can tell you that the saitek gaming keyboard is great. I own it. I dont own the logitech one youre talking about, so I dont know.

The saitek is an awesome keyboard and if you like soft keys but responsive its a great choice.

I own both keyboards, and you really can't go wrong with either. I am rather particular about my Saitek though. It just feels "right," and it is great with games. I don't use the little pad that came with it, as I find it to be completely useless. The Saitek is durable, and looks great with the back-lit display. My only grip is the lack of multimedia hotkeys. You do get a mute button, but a couple of preset volume bottons, but that is it. The Logitech Elite is a very nice keyboard as well. I used the crap out of mine until I bought the Saitek. It just depends on your personal preference. I found the Logitech a little more comfy for typing, but I think the Saitek is better with games. :D

I own the logitech great keyboard but a few annoyances

1) Having to manually turn F-Lock on everytime I restart to enable the F1-F12 keys to work.

2) Volume adjustment has an annoying feel to it.

3) Left scroll is pretty much useless, how many times do you see yourself taking your hands off the keys or mouse to scroll up or down. Ill stick to my mouse scrool wheel.

Aside from that I love it, its survived a fair bit, inc mikes hard spilt all over it and a cat who liked to steel keyboard keys

You get so used to it eventually, that you don't even realize that you switch it on anymore. As far as the volume control goes, they switched that around from up/down buttons to a volume knob on the latest model, huh? I have last year's model and it was a lot nicer.

1: Using MX Duo, but my F-lock is always set to normal on boot. Dont know why...software setting in the drivers (different comp ATM, so cant look).
2: Also MX Duo (wireless), if you're reading a long page it can be nice to grab the KB and lean back while reading. And for volume, etc. I like it.

I replaced my Logitech keyboard with the Saitek Gamers keyboard and I absolutely love it. The only thing I miss from the Logitech are the play/pause, stop, forward/backward buttons for playing music. Guess I'll just have to get a nice remote to go with my PC for that...

The Saitek has incredibly soft keys, very quiet to type on, responsive, and just an all around sleek design. If I were to pick between the Logitech and Saitek... the Saitek is well worth the cash.

My $2 keyboard with full lutimedia/internet controls laughs at you:

And yes, I also say screw everyone else with fUncpads/ratpads/other $40 mousepads, my Harvard one works just fine :)

Back on topic, you should really go try out both keyboards yourself and see which one feels better & seems worth it to you. Kinda like buying a chair I guess, each person likes a one for different reasons.

My saitek was 45 dollars at Best buy and it is really nice, soft keys, and no function button to push if you want to use your F keys. Letters are big and funky looking but who looks at them anyways?

I think that if it was 10 times stronger than ecstasy than you'd die if you smoked it.....

EDIT: and drugs are bad, stay off em. ;)

I really don't want to go off topic but....pppssshhhh....mary jane has a LOT of the same stuff in it as cigarrettes do...maybe not as many, but a good percentage. Just to let you know! :)
Ok I'm done going off topic.

but you just admitted not as much as cigarettes so thanks for agreeing :p

the Saitek is the same price as the logitech on newegg.. least when I got it, it was. I never used the logitech elite, but my saitek did replace a logitech internet keyboard.. which for the $15 wasn't a bad keyboard..

But my saitek simply rocks.. it not only looks awesome, but it has a great feel, and is very responsive.. I don't use multimedia buttons, so I was happy to find a keyboard that didn't have them.. same goes with the condensed keyboard layout of most illuminated keyboards.. I like the full layout better, so for me the Saitek was a perfect match.

Don't buy one, thinking it'll help you see the keys in the dark.. as it won't.. good think I know how to type.. ;) I have no problems recommending one at all.. I do not use the macro keypad though, as all the games I play wouldn't benefit from it at all.. I'll probably find one eventually though that I can get some use out of it..

LOL, but you said "mary jane never hurt anyone" it can do other things that cigarrettes can't, thus equaling it out pretty much...so it's nearly the same case both ways. ;)

ppffftt im 13 :p im not supposed to know TOO much, but i do know that there pretty even and i think it should be legalized with all the same laws of alchohol being applyed to it

puffing it once a month or even every 2 weeks wont exactly kill you off, not physically addicting like nicatine(though over use can cause mental desire)and you will probably stop by your 20's just because its childish

Hey, I'll take it to PM, dont wanna get in trouble!

Wow, drugs from keyboards. Who ever thought of that? I get natural highs, and the one I have now if from all the 5-minute epoxy that I used making my own waterblock, and no, I did not snuff any....on purpose :p

Anyway, back on topic, things have different value between people, most people who have the Saiteck just say that it *feels* right to them, youll just have to try it out yourself to see how it feels to you.

And as for the comment earlier about my keyboard not winning ladies like whatever you have, I say that if a girl goes for you based on your keyboard, you need to get some of what shes on

Ha ha, LOL....good one! Didn't even see it comin'! But I meant the keyboard itself getting ladies...sort of a sarcastic thing...well...100 percent a sarcastic thing!

Thanks for the informations, and for the others on drugs I $@%# you all with pleasure.
I have one last question, can the macro keypad open programs? (Saitek)

Im pretty sure, but 9 buttons isnt too much, even with the extra 3 programmable sets. Nostromo II or whatver its called looks better for that.

I told this to someone before, but just to let you know, you can swear here...see..."FUCK FUCK FUCK!" :)

I've had my Saitek for a few months now and I love it. I also own the Logitech MX Duo and the Logitech Elite. I really haven't found much use for the keypad, but it's sure tcool having it, never know what you might end up needing it for. The Saitek is a quality product. Highly recommended.

are those prices candian??  I paid $25 for my elite keyboard at newegg, which I know for a fact isn't near $50 Canadian, maybe like $30-40, but certainly not $50.
