Safely Remove my Raid Array??!!?

I raided my Raptors 0 in 16k strips, Anyways everything is good and working. My questions is Do I have to live with that little icon in my taskbar If i want to safely remove my raid? It kinda bugs, knowing that its my only drives in my PC... Well thanx for all replys Im using the Nforce 4 Raid controller. :)
