I keep getting the Safely Remove Icon in my system try, that ask me to remove my harddrives.

How do i make it go away?

I just built a new system.

I have an MSI NEO4 Platinum and a Raptor.

I see my drive listed under safely remove hardwareon the taskbar?

Did some reading and found this SATA drive is capable of being removed with the system on. Hot Swappable.

Also, write caching is turned on, which it should be. I will find out how to get the lame icon to leave my taskbar.

SATA is hot swappable, yes.

okay

right click the taskbar - select properties

click the customize button - there you will see your "current items" listed

you can click on the "safely remove hardware" entry and a drop down list will appear

currently it is set to "always show", change it to "always hide"

apply

ok

btw, this does not remove it, but will get it out of your site until I can find the real fix!
