I just installed a 74gb HDD, and instructed BIOS to boot from it. My problem is everytime I get in windows there is this icon in the task bar that says "safely Remove Hardware" when i check to see wut hardware it is i saw that it is the 74gb raptor.

my mobo is an a8n32 deluxe sli.

is there a way to make my SATA 1 drive as my primary master? as of now bios detects my 120gb wd as my primary hdd. i read the manual for this board but i saw no instructions on it.

SATA harddrives are like that. You can unplug them while the comps is running. Its kinda like a flash drive.

Bit off topic but my external HDD *always* says Windows is in use when trying to safely remove it? I just have to make sure it's not working and unplug it anyway.
