Safe Voltages for a Barton?

I finally got some DDR400 RAM so I'm getting ready to overclock my 2800+ Barton. I have my temperatures at a good range, mid-30s idle and mid-40s load. The one thing I'm not sure of, however, is what is the highest safe voltage my processor can take? I didn't write down the stepping, but it was made Week 40 of 2003 (which ungodly sucks, only one week off of being unlocked). I hope to get at least to 2.4ghz (12.5 * 192).

Thanks.

There is no "safe", it's a balance of more volt vs life. If you don't care if it dies in less than a year then crank it up to 2v lol. I would recommend around 1.7 which is probably overly conservative.

I put my 2800+ Barton up to the most my A7V880 would let me (which I beleive was about 1.85V) and had no problems, though it wasn't quite enough to be stable at 200MHz FSB (like 2.5GHz clock speed). Had an Si-97 cooling it.

yes 1.7V is very conservative for the AXP's. Generally, I'd say up to about 2.0V is safe. Above about 2.2V they'll start to suddenly die. I've been running about 1.9V through a 2400+ tbred-b for like 3 or 4 years now, still going strong. The AXP's are very durable to voltage. Just be careful with heat, though...at that much voltage you're gonna get really hot really quick. This one is running on a thermalright slk-900a + panaflow 92mm.
