Safe vcore for e6400???

I have my system running stable at 3.2ghz but she needs 1.4 vcore. Any issues running this 24/7?

Load temps are 46C.
 
I dont see why not. I run my X6800 @ 1.475V , but Im on water. As long as you keep your temps below 55C Id say it should last 3 years easy. .05V over Intel's max voltage recommendation is not a big deal IMO.

What week # code is on your chip? Should be on the CPU or the BOX "ie. wk 24 is L624A849". Thanks in advance.

Thanks. Yours seems to fit the norm for <wk 25 chips. It seems wk25 and up are clocking much better. Unfortunately I have a wk 24 chip myself.

46C with dual-Prime at 3.2 GHz? That can't be air or you're not running dual-Prime or Orthos.

I am running dual prime (orthos beta), with Scythe Ninja. Temps are accurate.

Also my case helps a lot, it was like made for the ninja I swear.



I have both tri-cool fans on high and the standard scythe at like 900RPM.

It is still more quiet than my lanboy.
 
my e6400 clocked at 3.16 runs 28-29C idle 50C load with one fan on the scythe ninja
running at 1.5v vcore.

this is using asus pc probe.

if I bump MCH voltage to 1.6 i can get full 3.2ghz stable but I'm going to wait for my 40mm fans to arrive before i run that 24/7.

EDIT: BTW I love the handdrawn fan :)

Yah, I knocked it back to 3Ghz for now. I dont want to burn it out too fast and the difference is not really noticable. I ran it dual prime for 11 hours no prob.
