safe temp fpr A64?

I just put together my new rig and i was wondering what a safe temp is for my A64 3000+ it is 38 no load and 50-51 full load (i.e. prime95). is that ok? can i run it up higher for an overclock or not? thanks for any info.

I would shoot for better temps, but thats just me. I just drilled a blowhole over my HSF on the side panel. I dropped a simple 80mm Coolermaster fan that moves like 20CFM. Its pretty quiet too, cant hear it at all, even with everything turned down.

Before i was running 100-103 idle and 120-122F load.....now running 96-98 idle and 112-114F load. I did however crack the plexi...but you cant really see it =). I will just have to replace it some time soon.

Blow it into the case to provide cooler air into the CPU. Like Shadows said, try to keep it under 60c and no probs should occur

That's fine, my A64 3200+(2.2ghz) is OC to 2.6ghz and I am running at 38°C idle and 44°C under full load...

Filters are great, depending on how thick it is, it will reduce the amount of dust, but also reduce the amount of air. When you use filters, it will make the fan louder. Cause it will choke on the filter and make a humming noise.

I would use without a filter and just keep your case clean with some canned air. I never use filters on my machine cause i want max amount of air flow per fan.
