I have the q6600 G0 SLACR. Now when i overclock what would be a maximum safe temperature. also do you go by the core temp or cpu temp? And what is a maximum safe voltage for this chip?

Safe voltages would be anything up to 1.5v. As for temps, generally you would go by the core temperature (use Real Temp). A good temperature level would be at least 15-20C distance to Tjmax.

I never let my chip go above 70c but thats me. With the V1 my chip never goes to 50c. I know people who let it go to 75c 80c sometimes. However, i think thats just to hot. If you want your chip to last try to cool as much as possible. Get a cooler and try to keep it under 65 on load for a few hours.
