Safari or forum bug ?

When I try to add a link to a post using the insert link icon, safari on my ipad shutsdown.

Not sure if its a safari/ios bug or a forum bug, using the smillie icon works ok as I have used that multiple times but each time I touch the add link icon, boom the browser closes.

Using the latest version of ios8 on ipad air.

EDIT

the add picture icon does the same and so does a couple others, not all icons are affected just some do this.
 
We are looking into this, but we have been having issues with specific Apple devices that we simply have not been able to replicate on our Apple devices.
