Sad Score in 3d mark, suggestions?

I have a sapphire x700 pro i just got. It only scored a 2800 in the 3dmark 05 free edition. I have a P4 3.4, 1 gig of DDR-2 533mhz ram in dual channel, 450 watt ps, and audigy 2 zs. Can u flash the bios of this card to a better one? Overclock? I know that there is probably a post about this allready, but i couldn't find it. So please lemme know, or send the links. I appreciate it.

What were you expecting with your card? That score is pretty normal for it and you can't get into the 5xxx range without getting a high end card or SLI.

The best way for you to increase the power of your card would be to overclock it but you'll net about a coule extra hundred points and thats about it...and maybe a few extra frames per second

I've seen people get in the 3500s with it, so i was wondering if there was anything else i can do. What about softmodding?

Hi there I am the keeper of the 3DMark05 list.

Not many will know about your specific card because few people have that card.
If someone did buy the X700 Pro then they are sure not talking about it.

Out of 788 3DMark05 scores I have 7 scores from the X700 Pro.
Compare that to the 61 scores I have from 6600 GTs and you can see that most people went with the 6600 GT for their mid-range card.

Average X700 Pro score is 3,114 and average OC is 445/469.

I got it on ebay for 94 dollars, thought it was a good deal.

94 for that card is a good deal even though a 6600GT is a better card. Considering it has gddr3 you probably have some headroom on that ram.
