My systems have been folding around the clock since I joined about a week ago. I'm also working hard to recruit new members.

Im pushing out as much as i can right now. I even have my home puters working round the clock now. (i was just sticking to work computers for the power consumpiton)

a couple days ago i put the farm back up, then today my computer finally arrived from college. 23ghz total now without borgs, and if i can *find* a couple dual xeon mobo's i can add another 8.4ghz... that is until the electric bill comes again- im pretty sure that my county has the highest electric rates in the country :rolleyes:

 
We are all doing our part and this thread is not about that...

It is about doing more! We are only about 3K points behind right now...Not a big gap.
 
Get out there, Post in new forums.. make new friends.. Looking at someones new setup over in one of the threads, he mentioned he should join the team since he has 4 computers up, get out, be friendly.. dont hug them at first... invite them back here, have fun :)

If we get too serious then we will never reclaim the lead :)
 
I'm now digging up a old ibm PII-450 and burn overclockix for another folding box...

I will also overclock the tbird i have for more speed but lemme cool it off a bit because it was hot at 67 and i found out i forgot the thermal paste... not burnt up after 48 hours of folding, phew !

I will also beg my boss to let me get a new laptop so i can bring home for the "working stuff" but i'll make it fold too :D

No no no, I've got the parts for an AMD boxen in the closet, on 1800+ but its better than nothing. Just gotta get one of those cheapy cases with a p/s and the motivation to put it together. The G5 is another day! ;)

Thanks for the offer, but I've been wanting to increase the size of the garden, anyhow, with how my upgrading goes, it starts as an 1800+ today, and will probably be an A64 by the weekend, so I'll just keep it under my watchful eye. ;)

 
Borg'd a P4 3.0 and 2.8.. both had 512MB ram so big packets ;) Just hopefully they get left on most of the time.

Guess I'll do what I've done both times before:

1: Keep head down.
2: Keep folding with everything that thinks it is a PC.

Repeat steps 1 and 2 as needed. :D

 
I've almost got another boxen ready thanks to several people here in the DC and FS/FT forums, I'll have go to wally world or office max to get another NIC, and to Radio Shirk to get another 5??? pack of ethernet connectors. Why do they put the plugs in a 5 pack when I use 2 at a time???? At least I still have the tail end charlie from the last 5 pack :)

Oh it's a 700 mhz duron, I'm stress testing the OC to 933 mhz now :) when It's folding I'll add it to the approriate threads :)

 
Duron flunked out on Prime 95 after 10 minutes at 933, cranked it down to 840, it's testing as I write, but it's at home and still NICless, and I'm at work avoiding work :)
 
should see the photochopping skills tha [H]ugh Freak did... on OCAU's bequest...
