Sacrifice

Good Evening everyone:

I am trying to load an old game called Sacrifice but when it gets to 22% installed, the installation stops and a post says this:

Component: Shared Files
FileGroup: Shared Files
File: D:\dataz.cab
Error: Data error (cyclic redundancy check).

Can anyone help me with this?

Data is corrupt, it's failing a data validation check, is this on CD?

It's failing to read something on your CD. Try dusting off or cleaning your CD with a rag.

This is from the original CD. I can try dusting if off to see if that will work.

If it's the CD, let me know if you want another copy for a buck plus shipping or something. I have been buying old games off eBay and got an extra copy of this bundled with another game. I wouldn't mind the experience selling it on eBay, but I'd be happy to lend a hand.

Ok, it worked. I found some muck on the CD. Put some windex on it and shined it. Installed it into the computer and it loaded up with no problems. What do I owe you guys for your services?
