ive but a couple of systems, but never had a problem before...

i had an fx-55 lying around, along with 1 gig of ram, 1300pro video card, hard drive and case....

so i decided to buy a mobo, dvd burner and PSU, and make a media PC...

so i put it all together....

and... it wont post.. the case fans turn on, CPU fan turns on.. it seems the DVD player is turning on (green light is flicking, as if its reading).....but.. no beeping, and the monitor never turns on..the light just stays a blinking green......

the only thing i can think is....its possible the FX-55 was overclocked when i took it out, and now i dont remember...... could that cause it not to post in a new MOBO....

so to sum up... new mobo, PSU, and DVD burner....
recycled parts.. FX-55, mem, video card...(i also tried my current video card, to rule that out, it also did not work)

heres the mobo......

Everything else was from a working system, that I upgraded...an FX-55, 1 gig of ocz 2-2-2-5 ddr400, and a 1300pro video card...

im stumped as to why it wont post...

I had a similar issue shortly after I got my 3500+ a few years ago. Turns out the processor had blown up.
