I really cant make up my mind on what to go with! Seems like both of them have thier pluses and minuses, but those are both pretty major. Socket 754's prices are VERY low right now, and I can probably get an A64 3200 setup easily with the money i have, but it doesnt support dual channel memory! Thats the only thing keeping me away from them. Socket 939 is almost to good to be true, but all the motherboards seem to suck hard! I've configured two systems...
1)
AMD Athlon64 3500 512k 939
----Socket 939 motherboard----
512mb ( one stick till I get more $$ ) Corsair XMS 3200
or..
2)
AMD Athlon64 3200 754
DFI lanparty NF3 754
1GB Kingston HYPER X 3200 cas 2
I'm really leaning towards the 939 solution as it would last me a lot longer and has dual channel memory, but all the motherboards are horrible. I dont know what the problem is...but I hope atleast one board comes out that doesnt have 100 problems. What do you guys think?
