canon s230 and canon sd100..which one is better?

the specs are about exactly the same cept the sd100 uses a different CF card and has manual control and i dunno what that is..so?
 
comact flash is far superior to sd in price and compatability, many more devices use Cf, so if you ever upgrade, your media will most likely work too
