s12 500w overkill....cheaper alternative?

I'm in the process of setting up my new rig.

P4 530J 3.0 Gig
XP-120 & panaflo 120mm fan
Asus P5GDC-V
1 gig ram
2 optical Drives 1 DVD R/W, 1 older CD R/W
2 hard drives
1 PCIe video card in a month or so

The computer will be in our bedroom and I would like to keep it as quite as possible.. XP-120 to help keep the noise down.

For some reason I have gravitated to the S12 500 w seasonic PSU. I think partially because of the 120mm fan for quiet operation, it also has 2 or 3 sata power connectors and is PCIe ready (which really means you have to have an adapter taking up 2 4pin molex plugs) I also like that it is in the 80% efficiency range.
I plan on having this setup for the next 3 years or so. So I would rather get something that will meet my needs for the next 3 years. I'm sure this power supply is overkill.

Is there something else that has sata connectors, 120mm fan, PCIe ready that is a little cheaper and more than good enough?

Any thoughts or suggestions appreciated.

The newer revisions of the Tagan 480W are PCIe ready, and although they arent 120mm fans, they are near silent, as in put your head next to them and you cant even hear the fans spinning silent.

you can get the forton bluestorm or the neopower which i believe is cheaper. As far as overkill in the near future it probably won't be and might be even less than needed at least with the future 512mb nvidia beasts, plus with the 8(?) pin new mobo connector it might be outdated in 2 years.

For quiet get the seasonic super tornado(misnomer). Also check the reviews at silentpcreview. There is an antec phantom 500w ish PSU coming out soon that may also be of interest.

Id say the S series is a good match considering the stated goals
as mentioned the new Phantom will be out eventually

do keep in mind that fanless supplies havent had the greatest track record when it comes to life expectancy
the Phantom is much better in this regard than many fanless supplies in the past
and that they can greatly benefit from a little airflow wuth judicious modding (ducting)

How refreshing! A man who thinks ahead. "The Force is strong in this one". Like Ice Czar said, good decision. The 80% efficiency on the S12-430 is excellent. If that carries over to the other models in the S12 line Seasonic has an excellent product on it's hands.
