i'm having problems getting my TV to work as a display. i am using a toshiba laptop with radeon mobility 7000. i use an s-video cable to connect the laptop to the tv. however, when i open the advanced display properties and click on the "displays" tab, it lists the tv as being "not connected". what's wrong?

is the tv on and cable connected when the computer turns on? that really shouldnt be an issue but it can be, or if you have like tv tool or something you should be able to force a detection of displays.

i am using the default toshiba drivers that came with the laptop. i'll try updating them later and see if it helps.

i first turn both the tv and computer off, then connect them, then turn tv on, and then comptuer on. i'm pretty sure the cable is physically connected because the tv flashes whenever i mess with the computer's display properties.

also, i searched for tv tool on google and it seems to be for nvidia cards.
