I purchased a sapphire radeon 9600 XT several weeks ago and the s-video connection is not working. can somebody help me?

So now i cannot use TV-out. when i plug in the Tv cables, my computer doesn't detect the television on the ATI control panel. Now I cannot use any display units that rely on an s-video connection. The warranty is worthless. Do you think my computer store is going to give me my $300 AUD back because the S-video connection doesn't work? i wish.......
