s-video out problem

Hey everyone, Im having a problem with my s-video out. It is hooked up to a sony 27" flatscreen not high def, but like half an inch is missing off the top, and the bottom of the picture is bent concaved upwards. I looked everywhere but couldn't find any setting to adjust the s video output. I have an aiw9800pro

maybe its the tv? is there some way the signal is distorting or something? The s video cable wasnt anything expensive.
