I was trying to hook my pc in my home theater with 55" TV, using S-Video. When I did this, the MAX resolution was 1024x768, it couldn't go any higher. It looked terrible, I could hardly read stuff on WoW. Why is this? How do I make it a better resolution?

Because S-video is interlaced and doesn't have the bandwidth to support higher resolutions.

You need DVI, VGA, Component or HDMI connections to make it look good.

Yes, svideo is low res. Svideo tops out at 720x480 interlaced (anything higher then that and it's the video card scaling the video signal, even then you can only go so high as 1024x768.

If you want to connect your PC to your TV you need to use either component, VGA (some sets limit VGA to 1024x768 or some other low resolution), or DVI/HDMI.
