So im running my Ryzen 1700x on a single 140mm Rad custom loop and my max temp is 65c. When i had my NZXT Kraken 280mm Rad AIO i was hitting 80c.. What gives?

My immediate thoughts are that you didn't make full contact with your Kraken 280mm. My 1700 OC'd only hits about 65c during stress tests and i'm on air.

Probably a result of now having a better block on the cpu and a better pump. More coolant flow will drop temps. To a point of course, you'll eventually hut diminishing returns.

As suggested, block mounting could also be involved. I'd say at this point take it and run :)

This, something was off for sure, I'm running a 9900k and I barely hit 80c with a Corsair 280mm OC'ed to 5.0 (with 2 AVX) which is a much hotter chip than the 1700x.
