I'm trying to help a friend out who's PC keeps crashing while gaming after an hour or so.

Here's the build list:

The system will just do a random hard shut down (no OC) after gaming for an hour or so. CPU temps are in the mid 50's GPU mid 80's. Now when it does crash you can't power it back on until it "cools" down OR SO WE THOUGHT then we discovered that if we unplug the PC and plug it back in after a crash then it'll boot up right away... so naturally it seems like a bum PSU and we replaced it with a 600W evga unit and it still does the same thing... GPU will run furmark for 2+ hours with the GPU maxing out at 89c (higher than when gaming) but won't crash.... and it does this on several games.

Any thoughts?

Update bios.

I'd also add a fan profile with MSI Afterburner to keep the GPU temps lower. However, the power off issue is 100% a mobo or PSU issue
