The new card features 1024 Stream Processors, 64 Texture Units and 16 Raster Units. The Radeon RX 560 is equipped with 2GB GDDR5 memory across 128-bit interface. Board partners will also offer 4GB variants.

This card has higher clocks than RX 460, but also higher typical board power (TDB) of 80W.

The RX 560 will be cheaper than RX 460 at launch: suggested retail price is 99 USD.

Like the RX 460, I still won't touch it with a 10foot pole, better go with GTX 1050, 1050TI or RX 570.

And are you referring to the 2GB or 4GB variants (or both)? I GET the hate for a 2GB version (I despise most 2GB GPUs these days, even those aimed at iGPUs - mostly because the performance delta they have against iGPUs - even those of Intel - isn't as tall as it was any more). Still 4GB versions of any of the GPUs you despise (RX 460, RX 550, and RX 560) fit a swing spot that has been underserved since GTX750 and GT 740 three years ago. (What I mean by a "swing spot" is 1080p display for now, but starting to consider 4K as display prices drop. RX 570, like GTX 1050Ti, is STILL all too often north of $160 (either Newegg OR Amazon), while RX 560 is priced low enough to displace either RX 550 or RX460, for that matter (regardless of AIB - how far are the Sapphire Pulse and ASUS STRIX models priced apart, for example).

Hope we see a 540 model so HTPC have access to a h.265 decoding engine.
Why is an RX540 model needed? The RX550 model fits that spot today (in the bottom-end 2GB configuration - which targets HTPC and low-profile; what you need is a card that fits your case style). The GT 740 (of three years ago) aimed at that precise turf. RX560 (and even RX550 in 4 GB) are alternatives to GTX1050/GTX1050 Ti (nV Pascal) and replacements for GTX 950/GTX960 (NV Maxwell 2.0) or older. Other than MOBA, my thing is RTS titles and city-builders (Civ series, Anno 2205 and older, StarCraft II/Remastered, possibly Quake Champions @ 1080p) - not 4K (not enough display for that), and not even shooters in general.

TDP is high at 50w, the 1030 is 30w and I would like to see a rx540 in the 30watt range.
