I'm setting up a WC setup in the 810 case... I plan to use either an ex or rx 240 on the bottom with possible push/pull... then trying to determine best for the money radiator for on top... either a 3x120 or 3x140... I'd prefer to stay < $100 on top.
I could probably do push/pull with a low profile rad on top, not sure though with >30mm rads, I'd likely have to do pull only.

Also, how much louder will push/pull be? Can it still be super quiet with low fan speeds?

Stick with slim rad, the thick rads are not whort the premium $ they retail. Pull only with those 2 rads will be more then enough. My 2 cents.

I have push/pull running in the 600-800 rpm range and I can't hear them at all.

Also, surface area is easily the most significant determinant in rad performance, so a 420 will most likely always beat a 360.

trmntr, I'll be running dual gtx 480s + 3570k processor... still enough cooling with just pull fans on top 420(outlet) push on bottom 240(inlet)?

Can you get the XSPC EX420? If so, that is a better radiator than the Magicool. Magicools tend to be somewhat cheap on the quality, and their performance suffers as a result.

Ok... so what about paths...
I'll have tank/res combo with the ex240 combo... (d5 pump)...
That'll be in top of case (switch 810)... then will have 420 rad on top, 240 rad on bottom, cpu, and the two gpus... I know overall it may not make much differences...

tube routing is usually best if its the shortest overall path but honestly doesn't really matter as long as the pump is after the res, and with that kit you're always fine on that. So I'd say whichever way you can easily route them that you think looks good will be fine. I'd play with rad ports in the front vs in the back and see how the routing will work and if you'll be creating any bends that could kink.

I think in my last case I routed tubing differently 3 different times as i upgraded things over the course of 5 years as my needs and tastes changed. And probly tried about every combo inbetween that I ultimately decided wouldn't work. Then you hit the one that works best and you have an AHA! moment and a big grin on your face.
