RX 480 Witcher 3 Testing

In the meantime I will be playing some more of blood and wine, which I am absolutely in love with. The BEAUTY of this expansion is really something, total suspension of disbelief my friends, I am sitting with my nose stuck to my 27" monitor taking in the sights, I want to LIVE in this place. The magic it evokes is on par with Zelda windwaker all those years ago. Really top tier, doobie-enhanced experience

It's simple really RX480 is around AMD 380 speeds.
970GTX around 40% faster than RX480.I believe it.Not looking good.The videos prove it.
Well if the RX480 turns out to be faster in a few days its all bonus.

Are you sure ? The problem with witcher is there's no predefined benchmark loop, so every website has radically different results that can't be compared, we need to wait for someone to do a comparison using the same scene

There's no way in hell 480 is 380x speeds, it should be smoking a 390 in games like Witcher, especially with hairworks enabled

Crysis 3 should be tested as well

Even I, Ieldra the Butt[H]urt, first of his name, do not believe it will perform like this. I just think it will underperform in terms of raw ALU throughput judging by the AotS numbers. If it doesn't handily outperform a 390, let alone a 380, in dx11 and geo heavy games then it's a total failure.
 
All I know is that no matter how good or bad the RX 480 is, it's a lot faster than the iGPU I am using. :barefoot:
 
If Zen works as well as the Redditeratti say it will it may have a chance.
