RX 480 is the best selling card on all the international Newegg sites and already exhausted in the US:
Note: Those are just reference models, a lot of people waiting for AIB...

This is very good to see and what AMD needed - market share. Cash helps but market share and exposure is worth more than anything else right now, free advertising really!

Quite funny how reality is so different to what all the shills were proclaiming; doom and gloom.. especially with all of three ageing PCs having unproven PCI damage, 20+ page thread crapping title of speculation and it all turned out to be rampant shill FUD. Good to see this. Hope they all STFU for once, but I fear they'll keep trying to hype with a 1060 paper launch lol.

Cus AMD would release a card that will kill every PC it is installed in... great logic. Speculating about blowing up PCs without any large volumes of evidence, is total shill-bait.

That said, I do not think breaking PCI-e specifications is something good for the industry and it's nice to see AMD react to this positively, instead of doing a 3.5/4 Nvidia head-in-the-sand type approach, until most stock is cleared. AMD showed true leadership + responsibility, not just being a greasy bunch of fucks.

Keep it up AMD, I hope Vega is something more competitive in the high end..

I am really happy with the two i ordered so far. I wish there was a trade in program so i could off load these 7970s, 380s, 290x without the hassle of ebay :-P

That was leldras, he was spreading that crap all over the internet, pcmasterace, amd, nvidia reddits were he got banned from all of them i think. he even created an account at the official AMD site to complain about a product that he doesn't own... thats crazy.:hungover:

I caught onto that once I started reading all the repeat statements. I don't hear anymore complaints other than what happened on the first 2 days of launch.

This is good for AMD. makes the only issue the power regulation. Which they've started working on a fix for anyway.

This is actually a good sign indeed, they are selling more in the rest of the worldwide than the US, and that's exactly where they should stay focused.

on side note I decided to check the US page of best selling just to found Gigabyte Xtreme Gaming as best seller followed by the Fury X, those price cuts are doing a great job still..

I purchased (4) RX 480's from NewEgg, but it wasn't for any other reason than mining.

I've got a 1070 for the performance side of things but, there's no doubt, i'm definitely excited to see Vega 10 and AMD's future offerings.

Coin Mining is one of the higher selling points of AMD cards and it's the biggest percentage of their market share rather than the intended Gaming market.

i dont want to go to far off topic but how do these cards directly compare mining wise?

R9 290 or an undervolted underclocked R9 290X but with 100W less so when you are using 4 or 5 per machine is a considerable amount to the monthly bill, also maybe 2k-3k hash/secs better than a 1100mhz clocked R9 280X this is of course only in ethereum mining... Bandwidth and memory speed have a also a considerable weight in the overall mining performance.

Except here, oh the irony.
