i'm looking for that spray paint that makes a rust effect on materials. Where can I get that?

i usually use water:D

nah j/k go to a hardware shop and look for rust-oleum paints they all have textures... i remember getting a sandpaper texture and it worked nice

Muriatic acid makes a nice rust effect on steel, just don't get it on your skin. You can get it at a pool or grocery store for cheap. It won't rust right away but give it an hour or so and BAM looks like it's been sitting outdside for years.

Some of the primers used on cars looks a lot like rust from a distance. someone I know had some flames painted on their truck, in a small area. They used orangish reds and some pale whites. For nearly an entire year, I thought their paint had peeled off the truck and left a textured rust pattern, untill I got up close to it. even when behind it in my car, in traffic.. I would be thinking "why doesnt he just rattlecan over that damn rust and be done with it".

If all else fails, sandblast, add water, let dry, then spray on a clear coat of laquer.
