Running two Xbox 360s on live?

Me and my cousin are trying to play Xbox Live with our two xboxes but it will never let him recover his gamer tag. Can you only run one xbox through a router to play xbox live?

XBL has been having problems with various issues, including recovering gamer tags, since Christmas. I am unsure if it has been fixed yet but it doesn't sound like it has.

Your problem is stemming from live itself, recovering GT's is one of the bigger problems it was having.

And as long as your router is configured correctly, there should be no problem with more than one 360 through a router to play on Live. I've had as many as 5 in one house.

you can run as many xbox's as u want on a router as long as theres no IP conflicts etc and its all set up correctly... Live has had a crapload of problems recently so i dont think its your fault... they've fixed most problems i think but theres still a few.
